- Replace [Query] with the user's typed keyword
- Never hardcode a keyword — always use the live user input
- Test with generic queries before going live
- Do not click ads during your own testing
- Contact your account manager if search results don't appear
Follow the steps below to integrate your BEM search string and go live. If you have any questions at any point, your account manager is available to help.
Contact Your Account ManagerYour account manager will provide a customized search URL string. This string has been configured with your unique publisher ID. The only change you need to make is to replace the 'Query' placeholder in the string with the actual keyword your user types.
Example: https://search.provider.com/?pubid=YOUR_ID&q=[USER_KEYWORD]
Once you've integrated your search string, test it to ensure searches reach Bing or Yahoo (based on your agreement). Note: some search strings are specifically optimized for desktop or mobile traffic.
Test with keywords like 'cards' or 'toys'. Do not click on any of the ads during testing.
Now that you've integrated and tested, upload your extension to the Chrome Web Store, your app to the Apple or Android App Store, or launch your page. Let real user traffic come into your product.
Your account manager will provide an online reporting page where you can track your daily income. If you have multiple publisher IDs, the report will display income for each. The report can be viewed online, downloaded as a CSV file, or pulled via our API.
